My 2019... (4/4)
The need to manage energy...
As I sit here writing about this year, it feels like I didn't have much to worry about in hindsight. After all, I now feel at home more than I ever did in Chicago, I have great and supportive people around me, and I got a new job that is super exciting (and challenging). And yet I realize that accomplishing all of these things took a lot of . . .

The volatility continues…
It turned out that my personal life wasn't going to be the only construction site that required attention this year. The company I've been with for 7 years had been without a CEO for a couple of months and the "new guy" was only joining in March. It became more and more difficult to drive change in the organization - and that's the one thing . . .

The real issue with getting the facts wrong
The blindspots of Neoliberalism no one talks about
This year will be remembered as the year in which globalization and liberalization made their come-back to the big stage of public discussion. Politics in many countries have seen alignment in messaging between representatives of the political left and -right in fighting against globalization (which must feel very awkward for them). Any . . .
What's it going to be? Values or "Success"?
Politics are fascinating to watch, as the actors nicely display the forces at play in so many areas of society. Essentially, there is only two questions a politician needs to answer to himself: Am I fighting for the things I consider right and important? Or am I advocating for what makes me and my party most popular with the people?
